Tantra, while typically thought of in a sexual context by Westerners, actually refers to a spiritual practice that encompasses all aspects of life. Sacred Sexuality is a more generic term, which can include the sensual aspects of Tantra, as well as sexual and spiritual practices from a variety of belief systems and cultures. I have trained extensively to be a certified Tantric Counselor, or Dakini. In addition to my own personal studies, I spent a week in Hilo, Hawaii, completing a very intensive Tantric Counselor course. However, what I teach is a fusion of what is sometimes called "pink" Tantra, Taoist sensual concepts, and Native American and Wiccan beliefs and practices. I refer to my Sacred Sexual sessions as "Rituals," because that is what they truly are: an invocation to a higher power, however you choose to define it. I believe that through the study of Sacred Sexuality, you can completely transform not only your sexual self, but your entire life. The three central and essential principles in sacred sex are: an emphasis on the woman's sexual fulfillment; the man's ejaculation control; and the spiritual connection between the couple and the Universe. Basically, sexual energy, which is very powerful, can be exchanged -- and directed to the head, heart, and soul. Such energy exchanges become a permanent part of who we are, our essence. Sacred sexual experiences are about connecting not just with yourself and your own body, but with your partner (me!), and with the Divine. Beginning a study or exploration of sacred sexual principles is not an endeavor I take lightly, and it does take time. Shorter sessions are open to those who have already begun a study of Tantra and sacred sexuality, but in the beginning, it's important to allow plenty of time for learning, and of course, for practice! Introduction to Tantra and Sacred Sexuality 3 hours -- $550 This session starts with a mutual shower, exploring and discovering. The Cleansing Ritual is deeply rooted in Pagan and Native American traditions. We cleanse not only the body, but the mind and spirit. Symbolically, this Ritual is very powerful. The feeling is one of deep nurturing and tenderness. It is designed to begin cleansing the spirit of shame and hurts, and opening and freeing the body to experiencing ecstasy. We will gently begin to explore the concept of sexual energy, and how to channel it throughout the body, illuminating and charging the chakras, or energy centers. We will experience Tantric meditative and massage techniques, work with moving energy intimately, as well as touch, taste, and other sensual discoveries. return to Ritual menu Sacred Healing Ritual 3 hours -- $550 It is said that we are the sum total of our experiences; that everything that has happened to us has shaped us, made us who we are today. In Tantra, and in other belief systems, each and every one of our past sexual experiences is carried within us, shaping our sexual selves and energy. For some of us, we have painful, unpleasant, or even violent experiences in our sexual past. Some of us carry shame and fear about our sexual selves. These experiences and emotions form a kind of psychic block, a logjam that prevents us from experiencing true pleasure. Imagine trying to view the world through a grey veil. It is almost impossible to experience pleasure and bliss through the veil of emotions and past hurts. We can see it dimly, but its true colors are lost to us. Certain seemingly physical reactions, such as impotency, lack of desire, premature ejaculation, or an inability to ejaculate with a partner, can be psychic in nature. This ritual can be difficult and painful, as old hurts are brought to light and re-experienced, cherished, and released. But we will also enjoy tremendous pleasure, at levels you may not have previously experienced. In this ritual, we will address your individual issues as you choose, and explore new areas you may wish to discover. We will look at ways to tear down the veil, and see clearly at last. return to Ritual menu Expanded Tantra Introduction - The Cone of Power 4 hours -- $700 This ritual focuses on each partner in turn, as we become the God and Goddess. The male-focused, or God-centered aspect of the ritual, allows the man to be completely receptive. Men are often seen as “do-ers” and “fixers” in our culture. They are judged by their actions, their accomplishments. In this Ritual, we let go of “do-ing” and focus on “be-ing” instead. In the female-focused, or Goddess-centered part of the ritual, the woman is also completely receptive. Women often have issues with receiving, and with being totally open to a partner. In this ritual, the female simply “is.” She feels, and experiences, conscious thought and judgment left behind. All of the body’s energy centers will be activated and focused during this ritual, as we call forth our sexual energy and power, and channel it through the energy centers. The first and second chakras will be the primary focus initially. As with the three-hour introduction, we begin with the Cleansing Ritual. Once relaxed through warm waters, massage and gentle touch, we begin what is often called Sacred Spot massage. In the God-centered aspect of the ritual, the prostate, or male “g-spot” may be carefully and skillfully massaged. In the Goddess-aspect, the man will be guided in the gentle massage of the woman’s “g-spot.” It is possible that the ritual may bring up some negative feelings, fears, or old hurts. We have to allow these feelings to surface, experience them, embrace them, and in this way we can let them go. Some reactions and feelings can be quite powerful, and long-lasting. Finally, we will face one another, holding hands, and channel sexual power through the energy centers, building a traditional Pagan Cone of Power and then releasing the mutually generated energy, even incorporating sex magick if desired. This is a powerful, emotionally-charged, very loving Ritual that will touch you very deeply. return to Ritual menu "7 Hours of Ecstasy": A Sacred Sexuality Workshop 7 hours -- $1,000 plus dinner In the Seven Hours of Ecstasy Ritual, you are completely removed from your life, your cares, your very existence, as time stretches before you. Incredibly rejuvenating and especially recommended for those with high-stress lives, this Ritual is truly an escape into the realms of spirit and pleasure. We will incorporate elements from the previous two rituals, including the Cleansing Ritual, Sacred Spot massage, and the Cone of Power. We will also be doing an intensive study and exploration into the nature of male and female orgasm. The intent is to learn to generate multiple orgasms, and channel sexual energy. Ejaculatory control is one of the foundations of Tantric and other sacred sexual practices. The idea is that when men orgasm, it is a genital-focused sensation, and there is a strong loss of energy following ejaculation. Men feel depleted, often sleepy. Women, conversely, gain energy through orgasm, become more powerful. The female orgasm is often a total body experience, beginning in the genitals and flowering outward. As men learn to practice ejaculatory control, it becomes possible for them to experience orgasm without ejaculation. These non-ejaculatory orgasms are much like the female orgasm, in that they are total body experiences. Further, they begin to be able to have multiple orgasms, often increasing in power and intensity. Most importantly, men gain energy and power from these orgasms, as women do. In this session, we'll take our Tantra studies to a whole new, exciting level. We'll explore one another in every way -- spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally -- engaging in an in-depth journey into the realms of ecstasy and self-discovery. Divine Night Rituals are only performed on certain nights: the full moon, the new moon, the solstices, and sacred holidays. We explore a special kind of sacred sexuality, that which not only energizes and connects us with the Divine, but also emphasizes that part of the connection is giving. We give to one another, and back to the Universe. Physically, we will share a magical cottage in the Colorado foothills, with our own private hot tub, candlelight, soft music, and luscious foods and drinks. The ritual itself is very similar to the Seven Hours of Ecstasy Ritual, but even more leisurely, and much more intense. We will explore deeply ejaculatory control and multiple orgasm, meditative breathing, healing issues, therapeutic and Tantric massage, and all aspects of the previous Rituals. All of the energy centers or chakras will be opened and charged, conduits for the powerful energy you are experiencing.
